I've seen this posted on a lot of friends' blogs, but just in case you haven't seen it here it is:
It's a video for the Advent Conspiracy, and I love how it emphasizes Christmas presence over Christmas presents.
This is the first Christmas that we are really focusing on presence over presents, and I am really excited about it.

Wow! That is so awesome and so relevant! This Christmas we are giving less and giving gifts for the whole family and making a lot of gifts. But starting with next Christmas, we are going to only make gifts to give. My girls LOVE making things because it means I spend time with them doing it. So, it's a win-win for the giver, the receiver and the "Christ-centered Christms cause."
How come I can't check the "email follow-up comments..." box the first time I comment?
I saw this video a couple weeks back and was immediately convicted. Of course I was... anyway, Shane Claiborne would be proud of you guys. I have begun talking about this concept even with my clients at work so that I can raise their social awareness and what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. The recent deaths over shopping only help prove our case.
